well. Thank God its friday. What a crazy week.

So many stupid things happening...

monday - Labour day holiday replacement since Sun was 1 May - May Day. Yea. Can sleep till 11am..

tue - nuts. work. jam again... The road on Federal Highway (KL Malaysia) is always a killer. It's Malaysia's biggest car park in the morning and rush hour.

wed - Great. What else can go wrong ? Customer calls from Kertih, Trengganu - some big oil and gas company and starts with P. go figure. 2 of the customer's server's HDD (hard disk) died and its on Raid 5 . So the server is down. Double Bad luck. Normally one 1 HDD dies on a "normal" server but 2 HDD dying is really bad. What to do ? We don't have a spare in the office. So I check with Acer. But I dun have the Supercare ID. So the engineer goes back to find the ID. Got it. Thank God it's still under warranty - until July 2005. Great. God is still on my side. So Acer's support will log the call and send the 2 HDD by next business day. I can sleep now..

Thurs - nuts. I get the Acer Kuantan engineer on the phone. He says only 1 HDD is on hand. What to do ? I call back the P Engineer cum customer. He says no big deal. Get the other HDD in by Friday. Go for lunch. Customer calls. P Manager wants the darn HDD by night time or there's gonna be a "Penalty" (nope. this is not the one in Football games. A penalty in the IT services means a Fine or Saman. Darn. That could be around RM10K to RM 20k. There goes my job)

Arrrhhh.... Its already 200pm and I need a panadol. So I escalate this thing to the Acer Support in USJ3. Told Jason the supervisor. OK. He will get back to me. Cut short the story. Acer Kuantan engineer calls and says he now has 2 HDD. Yes. God is on my side again. Customer sends email and says 2 HDD arrives in Kertih around 530pm. Great. Now I can really sleep better and I' dont have to go for a lobotomy.

Fri - busy day again....Cancel a meeting in morning. Pick up some pendrives and pay my rent. Go for meeting. Wife goes to see a chinese sifu in Sungei Way for some traditional massage where they beat your dirty yang from your body. Woh. I can see blue and black marks all over her legs. That's ugly. Looks like some fish scales. Reach home. Open letter box in the dark. Saw a cat climb out the front. Use torch light to see if there is any more letters. Darn. Saw a small kitten. Could be only 1 to 3 days old. Damn female cat stares at me and makes hissing sounds from the letter box opening. Woh. Scares me. Stupid cat gave birth in the letterbox ? Possible. Maybe the area is a temporary shelter ? Anyway. Need to find a way to evict them. Dont want da cat to scratch my wife. I'm calling the Cat nappers in tomorrow. Gnite

She is also seen clearly bottomless in a lingering camera set-up early in the movie, although her breasts are covered. Jennifer Wilbanks - The Runaway Bride

Instead of a giddy newlywed, Jennifer Wilbanks (search) is the butt of jokes at water coolers across the nation.

Photographs of the thin, wide-eyed Georgian that last week were printed on missing persons posters now adorn running shoes, "Runaway Bride" kits, T-shirts and — it was only a matter of time — toast.

The first items poking fun at the jogger who fled on her cold feet appeared on auction site eBay less than 24 hours after Wilbanks admitted ditching her pending nuptials.

Antiques dealer Harry Lonzello, 48, of Newton, N.J., said he could not resist carving Wilbanks' image on a piece of toasted bread and placing it for sale on eBay.

"I thought it would be a goof to put it on the site because I thought the story was so funny," he said. The toast has received more than 10,000 hits since Sunday, Lonzello said, and as of Tuesday afternoon bidding on the slice of bread reached $66.

Still, it is likely that Wilbanks acted out of genuine panic over the looming ceremony, to which more than 600 guests had been invited.

"I think it is best to be nonjudgmental because we don't know what is going on inside her or the nature of their private relationship," said Dr. Elizabeth R. Yoon, a psychiatrist based in Reston, Va.

Yoon said last-minute bouts of commitmentphobia (search) are quite common among soon-to-be-wed couples, and that Wilbanks probably took her own issues too far.

"She acted out her problem instead of confronting it, and then she went to the extreme. I'm sure it got worse and worse for her — the more she worked herself up the more unreasonable she became," Yoon said.

NEW YORK - A former "American Idol" contestant told ABC News that judge Paula Abdul coached him on song selections, helped buy him clothes to wear on television and even gave him prescription cough medicine to soothe his throat.

And, claimed 2003 contestant Corey Clark on "Primetime Live" Wednesday, Abdul initiated a sexual relationship and pleaded with him recently to keep it a secret.

ABC's "Fallen Idol" special, an unusually critical report by a television network on a rival's hit show, aired during a ratings "sweeps" month. It aired a half-hour after the current version of "American Idol" sent home singer Scott Savol to reach its final four contestants.

While seemingly under siege this season, "American Idol" is still a hit with viewers - 23.8 million watched Tuesday night - heading to a May 24-25 finale.

Clark reached the final 12 contestants in 2003 but was thrown off the show for failing to reveal a past arrest record.

"Primetime Live" showed how Clark serenaded Abdul during an audition, sauntering to the judge's table and kissing her on the hand. Later, he said someone slipped him Abdul's phone numbers.

He called, she sent a car to bring him to her house and they spent the night talking about how to get ahead in the game, he claimed.

"Primetime Live" detailed how Abdul helped Clark get a cell phone and showed pages of phone records it said detailed calls between the 22-year-old contestant and celebrity nearly two decades his senior - one lasting 155 minutes.

"It felt like she was hitting on me a little bit," he said, "and I liked it."

He described how Abdul came up behind him one night and kissed him on the back of the neck, and that was the night when their affair began.

Micheal Jackson jury sees books with naked boys

Prosecutors in Michael Jackson's abuse trial have shown the jury two books seized from the singer's bedroom which they say show naked boys. The pictures were found in 1993 during a previous molestation case involving a boy who received a multimillion-dollar settlement from Mr Jackson in 1994.

Also on Friday, prosecutors said they planned to call three new witnesses. The star denies all 10 charges against him, including plying a 13-year-old boy with alcohol and sexually abusing him. He faces up to 20 years in jail if convicted.

The pictures with nude boys - contained in two books - were seized from Mr Jackson's Neverland ranch.

The jury were shown the covers of "Boys Will Be Boys," showing a painting of boys in swimsuits jumping into a pool, and "The Boy: A Photographic Essay" showing a photograph of a naked boy on rocks by the sea.

The prosecutors in the courtroom in Santa Maria, California, had argued that the books testified to what they said was the singer's sexual proclivity for young boys.

Mr Jackson's defence team had objected bitterly against the introduction of the books into evidence, saying they were too "remote in time", irrelevant to the current case and would prejudice jurors.

"It's just plain stale to bring in something from that far back," defence attorney Robert Sanger said.

However, Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville backed the prosecution's request on the grounds that the books' "probative value exceeds the prejudicial effect".

Prosecutors also said they would call three new witnesses to testify, without giving any further details.

They said they planned to complete their case against the star early next week.

Micheal Jackson not a good parent

ichael Jackson's former wife lied when she said the star was a model parent in a video he made to defend himself, she has admitted at his child abuse trial.

But Debbie Rowe denied being forced to praise him or read a script in the 2003 video, which Mr Jackson produced in response to claims in a TV documentary.

Mr Jackson and Ms Rowe were married from 1996 to 1999 and she is the mother of two of his children.

She wiped away tears during 35 minutes of evidence in California on Wednesday.

Her testimony will resume on Thursday. Mr Jackson denies plying a 13-year-old-boy with alcohol and sexually abusing him.


The allegations came to light after a documentary by British journalist Martin Bashir, in which the singer admitted sharing a bed with a child. Mr Jackson made his own video to answer the controversy - and asked Ms Rowe to take part, she told the court in Santa Maria.

"He told me there was a video coming out and it was full of lies and would I help? And I said 'yes, as always'," she said.

On Monday, Judge Rodney Melville said he would limit Ms Rowe's evidence after warnings from the defence team that it could open "a huge can of worms".

She is likely to be one of the last witnesses called by the prosecution against the pop star.

The defence team is expected to call on a host of celebrities to testify to the singer's good character and innocent love of children.

The stars could include actresses Liza Minnelli and Elizabeth Taylor and singers Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross, as well as former child star Macaulay Culkin.

Mr Jackson faces up to 20 years in jail if convicted.

The world's largest passenger plane, the Airbus A380, has landed safely, completing its maiden flight.

The long-awaited test lasted almost four hours, with the A380 circling the Bay of Biscay before returning to base.

The A380 took off from its production site in Toulouse with a crew of six and about 20 tonnes of test equipment.

Thousands of aeroplane enthusiasts clapped and cheered as the twin-decked, four-engine "superjumbo" made a flypast before landing.

Gene Sparling was kayaking when he spotted a large black-and-white bird. It looked like an ivory-billed woodpecker, last spotted in North America 60 years ago.

His eyes must be playing tricks, he thought. Maybe it was a common pileated woodpecker.

"As a young birder, I used to dream of finding a lost colony of ivory-billed woodpeckers. It was just too miraculous to imagine," Sparling said Thursday after a news conference in Washington where he joined federal officials in announcing his sighting.

Sparling spotted the ivory-billed woodpecker on February 11, 2004, along the Cache River in eastern Arkansas, but wasn't sure how to let others know about his find. He recognized the bird from his readings as an amateur bird watcher and bird photographer.

"I was very familiar with the legend of the ivory-billed," said Sparling, who lives in Hot Springs.

The species is one of six North American bird species thought to have become extinct since 1880. Indians believed the bird's bill had magical powers. Its habitat was largely eliminated between 1880 and the 1940s because of logging. The last official ivory-bill sighting was in 1944 in northern Louisiana.

Believed since 1952 to be nearing extinction, the last known members of this species were reported from the deepest forests of NW Florida and central Louisiana. A shiny blue-black in color with extensive white markings on its wings and neck, this bird is distinguished by its pure white bill and by a prominent top crest, red in the male and black in the female. A true woodpecker, it has a strong and straight chisellike bill and a long, mobile, hard-tipped, sticky tongue. It measures from 18 to 20 in. (46—51 cm) in length, with short legs and feet ending in large, curved claws. The ivory-bill deposits from three to five glossy white eggs per clutch in an unlined hole, preferably drilled in a cypress tree. Of its reproductive habits little more than this is known. The disappearance of the ivory-bills may be blamed on the cutting and eventual disappearance of the trees in which they lived. It is thought that a few ivory-bills are surviving today in the forests of the Gulf Coast of North America and in Cuba. Ivory-billed woodpeckers are classified in the phylum Chordata, subphylum Vertebrata, class Aves, order Piciformes, family Picidae.
